Back soon after Sentinel betrayed the Autobots, Sentinel activated the 5 pillars for the first time over that pond in Washington D.C. Anyway, Optimus tackled Sentinel and had a little brawl, and Sentinel held his sword to Optimus’ throat, but decided not to kill him. He told Optimus that "he’d understand why he didn’t kill him in the future." I never understood why he let Optimus live there because I don’t think the movie ever explained what Sentinel meant by Optimus understanding it later.

Shia LeBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky, an everyday doof with a girl (Megan Fox) way out of his league, on his way to college after spending a couple years hanging out with his alien robot car, (Bumblebee) with whom he saved the world from alien robot jets. (Megatron and Starscream)

The film opens with a beautifully disorienting action sequence featuring the Army working in tandem with The Autobots, (good bots) climaxing in an alien robot truck (Optimus Prime) parachuting out of a bomber and onto the face of wheeled alien robot thing blowing up Singapore for the Decepticons (Bad bots.)

An alien robot devil (The Fallen) wants to suck all the energy out of the sun , and so he sends alien robots to find a shard of the all-spark, last seen being shoved into an alien robot jet (Megatron) to kill him. They then shove their shard back into Megatron, which (logically) resurrects him.

Sam, aided by his pet Alien Robot car, enlists alien robots, aka Car Car Binks, to pick up John Turturro and his hairy bananahammocked ass (rethink your IMAX ticket now) to find an Alien Robot Jet (Jetfire) who will teleport them to Egypt where Sam can decipher the alien symbols infesting his mind after touching his All-Spark Shard. From there, he will find The Matrix of Leadership, which will help Optimus Prime defeat The Fallen, ensuring Sam survives to hump his girl on the hood of his pet car yet another day.

A friend just invited me to see Tranformers with him, but I havn’t seen the other movies. I looked it up online, and here is what I know:

On a planet Cypertron, a war is fought between the good Autobots, lead by Optimus Prime, and the bad Decepticons, lead my Megatron, over the Allspark, which gives you internal power or something. Megatron gets the Allspark, but lands in the Arctic Ocean, where he is frozen and found by a sailor.

Later, Sam is given a car, which is really an Autobot called Bumblebee. Bumblebee is there to protect him before the Autobots get there to find the Allspark. Sam is dating Mikala.

The second movie is a little confusing to me, Sam goes to college and his roomate is a Decepticon, so Mikala comes to save him. There is something about the Fallen, who I think is bad?

Does that sound right? Will I be totally lost? Thanks!

Okay, so as I remember, in the old t.v show Optimus crash landed to planet Earth and remained unconscious for millions of years along with the other autobots/decepticons. What I can’t seem to remember is how the Transformers got back up again? Anyone mind refreshing my memory here? I haven’t seen the original show in YEARS.. I feel ashamed to have forgotten this, really ._.
I think I remember it was maybe an earthquake that awoke the Transformers, but I’m not sure. I guess I’ll have to rewatch the first episodes.
