Did Megatron Turn into a Gun at the end of the first Transformers movie?

A friend of mine swears Megatron turned into a gun at the end of the first transformers movie and shot Optimus Prime. Another says he didn’t. I don’t even remember transformers 1 but I’m tired of listen to them argue -_-

Megatron DEFINITELY does not turn into a gun. His vehicle mode is a weird alien-like jet, but he does not turn into a big gun.
At the end, Megatron’s like beating up Optimus Prime, but then Sam Witwicky points the cube at Megatron’s chest and it like, dispersed into his chest and killed him. Then to the ocean he went.
Tell the "He did not" friend that he is right, and tell the one who said "He turned into a gun" that he is wrong. If he still won’t give in, tell him this:

nope…. lol megatron gets shot and like killed haha.. then hes dropped into the ocean.
No he didn’t, thats absurd. He actually turned into a huge plot hole.
in the original transformers t.v. series Megatron transformed into a gun wielded by Starscream. but in the movies he just turns into some sort of fighter jet. he is killed when the sam witwicky sticks the allspark into his chest
