Must need tools for Gundam model assembly?

I’m going to be getting a Gundam 00 model and I just want to know what I’m going to need or want, that doesn’t come included with most models, and where to get those items. For example Exacto Knife, paint, ect., stuff like that or anything really. (And if it matters, I’m going to be getting Exia and Gundam 00 Raiser.)

A good pair of sprue cutters will go a long way to reducing the appearance of “scars” after assembly. More or less, the idea being, that you nip the parts out of the trees, leaving tiny nubs of the “gates” still on the piece. Then shave these off, with whatever hobby knife you prefer.

A set of files isn’t always necessary, if you’re creative and good with a knife, but they can certainly help. ESPECIALLY if the model has some die-cast bits.
