How many volumes of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Ecole Du Ciel" are there in Japan, and when is Volume 9 coming out?

I’m wondering when TokyoPop will release the English version of volume 9, Mobile Suit Gundam and how many volumes that there are in total in Japan.

Since I was interested in the series as well, I headed over to Amazon Japan to see what they had to say. Search reveals 11 volumes thus far, the latest having a publishing date of 26 June 2008. A little more digging shows that their Volume 10 came out sometime in August of 2007, Volume 9 on 24 October 2006, and Volume 8 on 25 March 2006.
So it seems that the manga is either still ongoing or recently finished; if the former there may be delays between chapters give that the tankobon were coming out at a fairly steady rate until 2006.
As for the English version, Volume 9 was supposed to come out on 14 October 2008 according to Chapters-Indigo’s website. But they also list the publisher as HarperCollins, not Tokyopop as it was for the others in the series. It could be that Tokyopop gave the publishing contract to HC and HC in turn is delaying it, or Tokyopop still has the contract and has delayed it, or Ecole was pushed aside into limbo and postponed indefinitely. I really hope none of those is the case, so let’s just cross our fingers and hope someone upstairs gets their act together.
