In an effort to end many years of tyrannical rule, five pilots and their Gundams are dispatched to Earth to begin Operation Meteor. Four of them land without incident, but one, Heero Yuy, is intercepted and his mission is compromised.

This was my first gundam series that I watched and is still my favorite. It got me interested in the others.

Can someone help me out… I’m looking for this season of gundam where in the 1st episode i think there are explosions going on and theres this girl with brown hair in the middle of it and some guy saves her. Well somewhere down the road she becomes wanted by the “bad guys” and some guy kidnaps her and puts her in the little robot shuttle thingy and uses her “power” i guess to obtain some treasure… Its been atleast 5 years since i’ve seem it. Got any ideas?

I love how this series starts off: Giant robots blowing up a civilian shuttle. Doesn’t get better than that.
It’s comforting to know that Ralena is still crazy after all these years.

@littlemimus amen to that. all i could think about when i came home from elementary school back in the day was to watch toonami. tenchi muyo, DBZ, gundam wing, etc. ugh the memories. like 10-15 years later and what has america presented to the kids? fuckin hannah montanna and shit like that smh

i wish people would watch the series and look for the deeper meaning and the inner growth of the characters. each character undergoes a change throughout the series, heero learns to care. duo learns he can have friends. wufei learns that the weak can be strong too. quatre learns that all life is precious but things happen and you have to move on. Trowa learns the meaning of life and relena grows up and becomes a key player in the process of obtaining peace.

GW will always be my favorite series. Watching it on Toonami a decade ago and re-watching for the first time back in ’07, I just can’t get enough. Of all the Gundam series I’ve seen, none of them have such a good combination of intriguing characters, plot, action, politics, romance and music.

From the top of my head it sounded more like you described Outlaw Star instead of any gundam series. But then again, I only caught on the the shuttle and power thing you described. Not a clue really.
