Optimus Prime question?

Okay, so as I remember, in the old t.v show Optimus crash landed to planet Earth and remained unconscious for millions of years along with the other autobots/decepticons. What I can’t seem to remember is how the Transformers got back up again? Anyone mind refreshing my memory here? I haven’t seen the original show in YEARS.. I feel ashamed to have forgotten this, really ._.
I think I remember it was maybe an earthquake that awoke the Transformers, but I’m not sure. I guess I’ll have to rewatch the first episodes.

the little kids in the show had got hella nosey, and stumbled upon the autobots/decepticons. so by them doing that they had messed with the robots and woke them up.
