Gundam Vs Transformers

In the movie Optimus doesn’t say anything or knows anything about The Fallen or the Matrix. Isn’t he supposed to be one of the original Autobots made by Primus? Or did the writers change the story?

It all depends on if you are going by the comic book version or the animated series version…..They all change the story up somewhat to fit their needs…..but Transformers 2 the movie bites.
