Are 1980s toys not worth as much due to the economy?

I have some He-Man, GI Joe, Star Wars, and Transformer toys that I was thinking about getting rid of. Most are in really good condition. I checked on E-bay and some other websites and was surprised that the value was lower than I thought it would be. Are older toys not worth much overall or is it simply because the economy is bad right now?

Vintage dolls and toys are selling very low right now. Definitely due to the economy. Dolls that I used to pay several hundred dollars for are now selling for less than a hundred..:o(
