What have they done to Optimus Prime! They've destroyed him!?

I recently began watching the new 2008 animated series of Transformers & I’ll admit that it’s pretty impressive. However, I’m HORRIFIED at what they’ve done to Optimus Prime! They’ve taken away everything that made us love him so much. Although he still fights for goodness & freedom, he no longer has that same loving, compassion & understanding nature that makes us all love & respect him so much. He would never force anyone to do something they didn’t want to do, no matter what it was & he ALWAYS puts his friends first before anything else.
But, the Optimus Prime in the 2008 animated series is not very understanding or compassionate at all. In fact, at times he seems very judgemental & has even insulting his friends & putting them down. He seems like a thug at times because whenever he doesn’t get his way, he becomes angry & uses force, even on his fellow-Autobots.
In one episode when the little girl called Sari runs away in tears after Optimus forces her to hand over the Key she looks after, Bumblebee goes to find her & Optimus says, “Bumblebee, come back. We have more important things to do,” to which Bumblebee replies, “more important than our friend?”
The animators have taken away EVERYTHING that we love about Optimus Prime. Does anyone else hate the 2008 animated Optimus Prime? Please read my question, “Optimus Prime, the LEGEND,” and tell me if the new Optimus fits into that category. Thanks.
What kind of an example is the 2008 animated Optimus Prime setting for kids now, that anger, aggression & fighting are the only ways to settle problems?

I completely agree they messed up Optimus, but not just him they messed up the whole transformers in general. The new show is horrible compared to the old ones and they changed so many things most notably size of transformers. now they are like human size for the 2 episodes of show ive seen. and on a side note what was up with bumble bee in movie? (not against movie it was cool). I mean y not use hotshot hes way awsome and in some of the newerish transformer series. It would hav been better using him instead of Bumble bee who im told was in some of the old series of transformers. and sry for rambling on.

I remember watching a series where Optimus was just a head and there was a new prime leader.
With the colours which they gave Optimus in the movie.Is he called magnus Prime?
I rekon beast wars is better anyways.
